The Legacy Research Center comprises several clinically-related research departments. Research programs include Biomechanics, Diabetes, Medicine and Primary Care, Neurobiology, Neuromuscular, Neurotology, Ophthalmology, Surgery, and Transplantation.
The Theoretical Neurobiology Group specializes in sensorimotor neurobiology, with a focus on the central vestibular system, a sensorimotor integration center. We mathematically formalize the logical structures found in neuronal populations, neural pathways, and behaviors, including perception. Our research is typically motivated by clinical issues for patients with vestibular disorders.
