Committees

Several scientific advisory committees providing guidance to the MBI:

• Board of Trustees (BOT): The Board reviews the institute management and programs and advises and approves the strategic priorities of the institute.
• Scientific Advisory Committee (SAC): SAC reviews MBI programs and suggests and decides on annual programs and organizers.
• Local Scientific Advisory Committee (LSAC): Helps identify current topics and focus group workshops, gives advice on how to implement emphasis programs and on potential mentors for postdoctoral fellows.
• Emphasis Year Scientific Advisory Committee (EYSAC): Prepares a detailed proposal for the Scientific Advisory Committee, reviews the proposal by the organizing committee, and offers suggestions. The EY helps develop program content.
• Industrial Advisory Committee (IAC): MBI's Corporate Members are also members of IAC whose goal is to propose and review new programs.
