Overview of Biomathematics Program at FSU: The mathematics department at Florida State University (www.math.fsu.edu) has BS, MS, and PhD degrees in Biomathematics. These programs are flexible and encourage students to take courses both within and outside of mathematics, depending upon their interests and professional goals. There are currently six biomathematics faculty members who do research in neuroscience, physiology, computational anatomy, biofluids, game theory and complexity science, and protein biophysics. There are strong ties with the interdisciplinary programs in Molecular Biophysics and Neuroscience at FSU, and to other faculty in biology and chemistry.
