Jennings Hall Renovation
The $33.4million Jennings Hall Renovation Project
is expected to be completed in May 2007, at which point the
MBI will move into 9,000 Assignable Square Feet (ASF) of space,
occupying 2/3 of the top floor. In its current location, the MBI
occupies 5,500 ASF.

Funding Sources:
- State capital appropriations; local funds from
multiple sources.
Programmatic Information:
- Advances academic plan by meeting the University's
mission of teaching and research by providing flexible instructional,
laboratory, office, and meeting space for College of Biological
Sciences and the new Mathematical Biosciences Institute.
- Project includes approximately 101,906 gsf of
renovation of Jennings Hall and demolition of 65,467 gsf (part of
Jennings Hall and part of the General Biology Annex), resulting
in a reduction of approximately 65,467 gsf to the University's space
inventory.
- Project budget includes $922,000 for enabling
projects in Smith Lab and Cunz Hall.
