Ohio State is in the process of revising websites and program materials to accurately reflect compliance with the law. While this work occurs, language referencing protected class status or other activities prohibited by Ohio Senate Bill 1 may still appear in some places. However, all programs and activities are being administered in compliance with federal and state law.

I am broadly interested in applications of probability theory, statistical inference and survival analysis to problems in epidemiology, biology and other branches of science. In particular, I am interested in questions of asymptotic nature, e.g., large graph limits of epidemic processes on random graphs, scaling limits of chemical reaction networks etc. Starting from a rigorous foundation, my goal is to design better inference algorithms for biological and epidemiological data, and to help design better public health interventions.
